Hay-Scented Fern

These medium-to-large creeping ferns are best for semi-wild or naturalistic landscapes. Plant in shade, although if soil is kept moist it can take more intense light than most ferns. Remove fading fronds regularly.

This spreading fern makes a good ground cover for a shaded slope. Large fronds up to 2½ feet long and about 1 foot wide smell like hay when dry.
