Gaillardia x grandiflora 'Burgundy'

Annuals and perennials valued for their showy, often bicolored, daisylike flowers. Easy to grow, they tolerate heat and some drought, and bloom for several months. Excellent cut flowers and in borders. Deadhead old flowers to lengthen the blooming season. Need full sun and well-drained soils. Propagate by seed. Often naturalizes by reseeding itself.
Gaillardia x grandiflora
This hybrid of a native American wildflower has 3-inch-wide deep wine-red flowers. Cut back after bloom to encourage fall rebloom. Often short-lived, but start new plants from cuttings.
