Australian natives grown for their fan-shaped flowers of lavender, mauve or white. Bloom almost continuously in mild climates. The varieties available in the United States are cascading and good for hanging baskets, or ground covers good for rock gardens. Prefer full sun and good drainage. Somewhat drought-tolerant once established. Feed iron sulfate to deepen flower color. Has no particular susceptibility to pests. Available in containers throughout the growing season.
The vigorous, long blooming plants are spectacular in hanging baskets, in the front of flower borders or cascading over walls. Profuse flower clusters are 1½ inches wide.
